In less than a week, on October 14th, Callaway’s new RAZR XF Irons and Hybrids will be available in stores. Designed for the golfer that is looking to improve their game, these irons blend unparalleled forgiveness and accuracy with premium materials and exceptional styling.
Neil Howie, Callway’s President of Europe, Middle East and Africa, said, “The new RAZR XF Iron will undoubtedly appeal to the committed player who is focused on maximizing their potential, safe in the knowledge they are using one of the most refined, visually striking game-improvement Irons currently available on the market.”
The most notable feature of the RAZR XF Iron is its wide sole design that was engineered to position the center of gravity low and deep for more forgiveness on off-center strikes. Another notable feature of these clubs is their 455 Carpenter steel face, which is stronger that traditional stainless steel and as a result generates faster ball speeds for more distance.
The RAZR XF Hybrids feature a larger head design and added offset to deliver higher, longer, straighter shots. The Hybrids also feature Callaway’s proprietary VFT® Technology, which controls face thickness to create a larger sweet spot and higher ball speeds for even more distance.
Luke Williams, Senior Director, Global Woods and Irons, said, “By combining our research and design expertise with the best materials available, we’ve produced a premium line of products for the player looking for the utmost in forgiveness and distance.”
Earlier this year, TaylorMade launched a white campaign listing that the matte finish of their new white metalwoods helps to reduce glare and eliminate hot spots. Callaway is making a similar effort to help improve playing performance with its new RAZR XF Irons and Hybrids. Aimed at mid to high-handicap golfers, this new set comes equipped with their Black PVD (Physical Vapour Desposition) finish to reduce glare off the club face in bright conditions. We feel that this is a nice alternative for golfers who prefer the more classic club coloring.
The RAZR XF Irons and Hybrids will be available in a set of six irons and two hybrids for $1,299 with steel shafts or $1,399 with graphite shafts. The RAZR XF Irons and Hybrids come standard with Winn® Grips.
